Assumptions
Rates are NEPRA-notified uniform XWDISCO tariffs effective 12 Feb 2026 (SRO 279(I)/2026).
FCA changes every month — verify the current month’s FCA before relying on this estimate. Default here is Rs 1.1086 (update when the next FCA is announced).
QTA of Rs 0.5194 applies to the Sep–Nov 2026 billing cycle.
Protected status means you used ≤ 200 units in each of the previous 6 months — confirm on your bill or with FESCO.
Income tax is applied on the pre-income-tax total (energy + fixed + FCA + FC surcharge + QTA + electricity duty + GST).
Further tax is calculated at 3%; some sources report 4% — marked uncertain.
Sanctioned load defaults to 1 kW — adjust it to match your connection.
Disclaimer: This is an estimate only, not an official FESCO bill. Actual bills may differ due to meter readings, billing-cycle timing, and tariff notifications.
Use the FESCO bill calculator to find out what your next or current month’s bill will be. This calculator is updated for 2026 and includes all the tax slabs and charges. Just enter your electricity units consumed this month, and you will get your estimated FESCO bill online immediately.
How To Use the FESCO Bill Calculator?
You can use the FESCO electricity bill calculator online on this webpage. Here are the steps to take.
Choose your consumer category: “Domestic” or “Commercial“.
Now select the tariff subtype:
Lifeline
Protected
Non-Protected
Time of Use
Enter total consumed units.
Click on the “Calculate Bill” button.
Your estimated bill amount will appear on your screen.
What is your Tariff Subtype?
Tariff subtype means the type of your electricity connection. FESCO charges a different price for each type, so you pick the one that matches your bill:
For homes (Domestic):
Lifeline: This type is for those consumers who use 100 units or less than 100 units in a month. This is the lowest FESCO bill rate.
Protected: If the consumer is using 200 units or less in each of the last 6 months, then it is called protected.
Non-protected: A normal home connection. The price goes up as you use more units.
Time of Use (ToU): This is a special meter connection. Daytime (peak) costs more; nighttime (off-peak) costs less.
For shops and businesses (Commercial):
Load < 5 kW: Small shop or office with a small connection.
Load ≥ 5 kW: Bigger shop or business with a bigger connection.
Time of Use (ToU): Special meter with cheaper night rates.

Points to note
Only protected residential consumers get the benefit of one previous, lower slab. Lifeline consumers do not get any slab benefit.
Where no fixed charge applies to a connection, a minimum monthly charge still applies even if no unit is used: Rs 75 for a single phase connection and Rs 150 for a three phase connection.
Fixed charges for domestic consumers who are not on time of use metering are worked out on the sanctioned load. For time of use domestic consumers, the basis is 50% of the sanctioned load or the maximum demand (MDI), whichever is higher.
Where fixed charges are billed per kW in the commercial, industrial and bulk categories, the billing basis is 25% of the sanctioned load or the actual maximum demand for the month, whichever is higher.
Agriculture consumers pay a minimum monthly charge of Rs 2,000 per consumer even if no energy is used, and consumers with a sanctioned load under 5 kW can choose time of use metering.
Seasonal industrial consumers can switch to the regular tariff, or back, at the time of a new connection or at the start of the season, and the choice then stays in force for at least one year.
