Types of FESCO Electricity Connections In Punjab
FESCO is a short name for Faisalabad Electric Supply Company. However, the company not only serves Faisalabad but also other cities such as Jaranwala, Chak Jhumra, and Sargodha.
Let me share all the FESCO connection types that consumers can use in 2026.

1) Domestic
Domestic connection is the most famous one from FESCO. All households in Faisalabad and 34 other cities use this connection type. It is also one of the most affordable connections due to relief packages. The connection runs on units that indicate how much electricity a consumer has consumed.
However, the bill payment is different for every 100 units consumed. As you go up from 200 to 300 units, your bill charges will go up 2x and 3x or even more.
The consumer has a maximum of 3 months of unpaid bill relief, and after that, the company will cut off the consumer’s connection. However, the consumer has to pay the late payment charges as well.
2) Commercial
The second most common connection is a commercial FESCO connection. The connection service is only for commercial use, such as shops and marts. Shopping malls, offices, and schools. Those who are running a business need to obtain this connection as it is compulsory.
You can not use a domestic electricity connection for commercial purposes. This is against the FESCO policy, and FESCO can file a lawsuit against the consumer.
The bill payment for this connection does not go the same way as the domestic one. The charges for all the units are the same; however, some additional charges and taxes will add up as the units go up.
3) Industrial
This connection is for factories, large workshops, and other industrial units. It provides more electricity to run heavy machines and equipment. Industries use this connection for production work, processing, and other big operations. The industrial connection is designed to handle high power usage safely and without interruptions.
Also, this connection serves the 3-phase electric supply. Consumers can not use this 3-phase electricity connection to run their household appliances, as they work on a 2-phase supply.
4) Agriculture
This connection is for farmers and people involved in agriculture. It is mainly used to run tube wells, water pumps, and other farming equipment. The agriculture connection helps in irrigation and supports crop production by providing a steady supply of electricity at lower rates for farmers.
5) Tubewell
Many rural areas depend on this type of connection to draw underground water. It powers tube wells used for irrigation in farms and sometimes for supplying water to villages. This connection is designed to handle continuous water pumping without overloading the system.
6) Temporary
This connection is given for a short period, usually for events, construction sites, or seasonal work. It is ideal when electricity is needed for a limited time only. Once the work or event is over, the connection is removed by FESCO.
7) Electrification (Colonies)
This type of connection is for housing colonies or new residential projects. It supplies electricity to all homes in the colony through a planned distribution system. Builders or housing societies usually apply for this connection to ensure every house gets a proper power supply from the start.
8) Street Lights
We all see street lights at night. These lights are the property of FESCO and run on FESCO electricity. However, FESCO has a dedicated connection for all the street lights in a city. These lights consume electricity from FESCO, and this is free for the residents of the streets.
9) Corporate Company
Large companies and organizations use this connection for their offices, branches, and operations. It supports high electricity usage with a stable power supply. Corporate connections often come with special billing plans. They are designed to meet the needs of big businesses without interruptions.
10) General Services
This connection is for services that do not fall under domestic, commercial, or industrial categories. It is often used for places like community halls, pumping stations, and public facilities.
The general services connection ensures a smooth electricity supply for such locations. It is available for both small and large-scale setups. FESCO provides this connection based on the specific needs of the service.
